Organizations We Care About

The bail project

The Bail Project™ National Revolving Bail Fund is on a mission to combat mass incarceration and reshape the pretrial system in the United States. 100% of online donations are used to bring people home. Since bail money goes back to them when cases close, they are able to recycle every dollar donated at least twice per year.

The NAACP is at the forefront of the movement to build political power and ensure the well-being of communities of color. Underscoring the advocacy of our 2,200 local units across the country, they empower our communities to make democracy work for them. Donations to the NAACP helps further their mission to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

beauty bus Foundation

Beauty Bus was founded in memory of Melissa Marantz Nealy, whose life was cut short at the young age of 28 by a degenerative neuromuscular disease. Melissa became homebound as her disease progressed. In an effort to lift her spirits, her family arranged for in-home haircuts, manicures, and facials. Melissa said these treatments made her feel "human again."

THE LEGAL AID SOCIETY

Their Civil, Criminal Defense, Juvenile Rights, and Pro Bono practices work tirelessly in and out of the courtroom to defend their clients and dismantle the hidden, systemic barriers that can prevent them from thriving in New York City. They seek to be a beacon of hope for New Yorkers who feel neglected —regardless of who they are, where they come from, or how they identify.

share your beauty
